Shane Rienks

Lead Designer

Shane Rienks is dedicated to pushing boundaries and working on the edge of what’s possible. He brings eight years of professional experience working on high-stakes projects in consumer products, automotive, and aerospace, including design, fabrication, and project management.

Rienks has built a strong foundation through apprenticeships and hands-on experiences, learning from masters in their respective fields before entering design school at 22. From shaping metal on multi-million-dollar coach-built cars to molding carbon fiber for one-off supercars, he later established the in-house design and prototyping division at a specialty car company. Rienks launched his own design company, Rienks Motor Design, LLC, in 2020, where his projects have allowed him to explore broader experiences and passion projects, such as his patents-pending startup Kove Cutlery.

While Rienks always envisioned a bustling design studio of his own, he has discovered a deeper passion for working with other ambitious individuals and companies. Rienks now leads the interior design development for the LEO Coupe flying car program.

Inspired by pioneers, legends, and visionaries such as Don Norman, Lee Iacocca, and Frank Lloyd Wright, Rienks aims to bring diverse disciplines together to innovate and solve complex problems. Driven by ambition and a relentless pursuit of knowledge across multiple disciplines, he is committed to advanced design and problem-solving wherever he finds the opportunity.
