At the heart of our revolutionary aircraft lies a propulsion system originally conceptualized by LEO Flight co-founder Pete Bitar and his team at Electric Jet Aircraft. What began as a visionary "Electric Jetpack" design has now evolved into the most sophisticated personal flight architecture in the world.

Safety and redundancy are the two pillars of the LEO Flight mission. Our unique approach—using high-density clusters of small electric jets—was recently recognized for its potential and awarded a development contract by DARPA (the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency).

This partnership was a significant milestone. It provided the technical validation needed to prove that shrouded, redundant propulsion is not only possible but the only viable path for compact, urban-friendly aircraft.

Clustered Jet Technology: Why It Matters For An Air Bike

Traditional eVTOL designs often rely on a few large propellers. LEO Flight’s architecture is different. By using clusters of electric jets on its eVTOL air bike, we achieve:

  • Unrivaled Safety: With over 100 micro-jets in the LEO Coupe, the system remains operational even if multiple units fail.

  • Compact Form Factor: Eliminating large propellers allows us to create "flying hypercars" and JetBikes that fit in a standard garage.

  • Shrouded Efficiency: Our proprietary shrouding reduces noise profiles and increases lift efficiency, making personal flight practical for residential areas.

The Future is Here: 2026 and Beyond

The technology that started as a tethered jetpack prototype has matured. Today, it serves as the core propulsion for the LYNX and the LEO Coupe.
